cliverussellAmong the guests who will be attending the dinner is Clive Russell who was born in Reeth England in 1945 but brought up in Fife from the age of 3 months.

He originally trained as a teacher but when his drama lecturer resigned to take over a theatre in Bolton, Russell joined him and since 1991 he has been working solely in film and television work.

Clive is a familiar face on British TV and has appeared in numerous series including Boys from the Blackstuff, Great Expectations, Waking the Dead, Silent Witness, Still Game, Cracker, Happiness, Auf Wiedersehen Pet and Coronation Street. In 2012 he was cast as Brynden “The Blackfish” Tully in the HBO fantasy drama, Game of Thrones, Tyr in the live action Thor; The Dark World. He played Inspector Frederick Abberline in BBC One’s Ripper Street (2012).

Among the guests invited are Billy McPhee, Harry (can turn on a sixpence) Kinnear, Ernie McGarr, Dave Clarke, Steve Archibald, George Dewar, Kenny Deuchar, Stevie Kirk, Greig McDonald and others including some of the current squad.

At the top table, we hope to have our Chairman of course, Sid Collumbine along with Jim Leishman, former player and First Minister of Scotland Henry McLeish, Lindsay Roy MP, Trish Marwick MSP Speaker and Paul Reid, dinner speaker.

There are still plenty of tickets left for the celebration to take place on Saturday, 25th May 2013 at Buckhaven Community Centre – over 18s only - price £50.
